011 - Get Over Here!
In the world of photography, the Rule Of Third is not the only rule applicable to composition. You need to get creative, break the rule, break other rules (photography only, please), bend it, combine it, or simply ignore it. No one’s gonna sue you for not following the rule.
I’m gonna show another “rule”, or trick, as I like to call it, that will certainly bring the ‘oohs‘ and ‘aahs‘ to your picture.
Look at this picture.

Now that is one fine picture of Miss Leung here. The background is out of focus, and to add to that, she’s kinda..cute ![]()
Next, take a look at this picture.

Ah…looks better, ain’t it?
The thing is, you’re not obliged to include everything in your picture. Instead of the whole picture of Miss Leung with her crow owl, you might want to zoom in on your subject. Bring ‘em closer. This is especially true to child photography. You’ll be able to capture a lot more emotions if you zoom in your subject (okay, so I cheated. I cropped the picture. But you get the whole idea, right?)
Of course, that would depend on the type of picture that you wanna take. But for capturing emotions in a picture, zooming in is definitely the way to go.
Next, I’m gonna show you another trickie thingie that will certainly make you the envy of your mates.

I never thought she was capable of cheating, I guess I was wrong.
